Kris Kelly Creations was established in 2012 in Portland, Oregon. Kris Kelly Creations offers custom stained glass products including modern style table lamps, window panels, mosaics and sun catchers.   Kris is a native Oregonian who grew up in Lincoln County, Oregon just six miles from the beautiful Pacific Ocean. Kris graduated from Taft High school in 1990 and later became an Oregon licensed Property Manager in Portland.

In 2010 after 17 ½ short years, Kris lost her son Devon to Hunter Syndrome, a rare genetic disorder affecting 1/100,00-170,000 males (www.mpssociety.org) While in group grief therapy the group was assigned to find any type of art class of their choice. Kris took a local stained glass course, and immediately found an outlet that created a form of solace.

“There is something to be said for working with your hands. Beginning with imagining the countless concepts of stained-glass art. Drawing out a pattern, picking up the tools and going through each step of the process to create something from your mind, with your hands. Caring for Devon was my identity. That profound loss required finding a new sense of purpose, of hope. Stained glass has become to me an expression of survival from profound grief.”
